Services · Cross-Border Tax
Cross-border tax, handled on both sides of the border.
If you earn, invest, or run a business across the Canada–US border, two tax systems apply to you at once. AnalytIQ prepares the filings on both sides, keeps them telling the same story, and plans ahead so you keep more of what you earn.

People on the move
Moving to or from Canada, planning departure tax, or untangling retirement accounts left on the other side of the border.

Cross-border guides
Plain answers to the questions that bring people here.
Common questions.
Do I need to file US taxes if I live in Canada?
If you are a US citizen or green-card holder, yes — the US taxes by citizenship, so you generally must file a 1040 every year even with no US income, alongside your Canadian return. Most people owe little or nothing thanks to the foreign tax credit and treaty, but the filings are still required.
Can you fix years of missed US filings?
Usually, yes. The IRS streamlined program lets most non-willful filers catch up with three years of returns and six years of FBARs, without penalties for those who qualify. See our streamlined filing page.
Do you handle both countries or just Canada?
Both. Your Canadian and US filings are prepared together so the numbers agree — which is exactly what cross-border reviews look for.
Where are you located?
In the GTA — in person for local clients, virtual for the rest of Canada and the US. Full details are on our contact page.
